Membership Benefits

Advocacy

We represent YOU. Whether it’s in the Capitol in Salem or within the beltway of D.C., OUS members ensure that your voice is heard to protect your patients and practice.

Education

The Society strives to offer you a variety of educational formats to meet your specific needs. From our annual in-person CME meeting; live webinars recorded and banked for your future reference; urology community meetings conducted around the state; HIPAA compliant online platform for you to collaborate directly with members of the OUS; to having a website full of resource links of value to Oregon urologists we have something for you.

Communication

We communicate TO you as well as FOR you. OUS members receive e-news and Society report cards on activities, events and issues of importance to our members. The website is continuously updated to provide you with relevant and interesting material. We utilize social media (Twitter) to keep members informed at a quick glance from their cell phone. When it comes to representing urology to Oregon legislators and the public, the OUS can be found spreading our message online and in print to ensure that our specialty remains in the forefront.

Leadership Development

If you have an interest in organized medicine, then this is the society for you. All members are welcome at our quarterly board meetings, and with numerous committees, there’s a place for you that matches your area of interest.

Representation

Our Board of Directors and more specifically the Government Affairs Committee represents Oregon urologists in Salem and nationally at health policy events of the AUA and AACU. At the state level, our goal is to have every geographic region and practice group type represented on the OUS Membership and Government Affairs Committees. Let us know if you’re interested!
