2022 Annual Meeting
I am pleased to announce that Dr. Thomas Chi, MD, will be our Keynote Speaker for the 2022 Oregon Urological Society Annual Meeting. The event will be hosted at The Resort at the Mountain, August 12th through the 14th.
Dr. Chi graduated as a President's Scholar from Stanford University with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Biology as well as Masters degrees in both Sociology and Music. He went on to earn his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. After graduating, he completed two years of general surgery residency training and then a urology residency at UCSF. After completing his Chief Resident year in the Department of Urology, he continued on to finish a fellowship in Endourology and Laparoscopy under the mentorship of Dr. Marshall L. Stoller.
During his fellowship, Dr. Chi was awarded grant funding from the National Institutes of Health and the American Urological Association Urology Care Foundation to research the fundamental mechanisms underlying the formation of urinary stones. He is the 2020 recipient of the AUA Gold Cystoscope Award, which is presented annually to a urologist distinguished by outstanding contributions to the profession within ten years of completing residency training. In the start of the academic year in 2020, Dr. Chi earned his professorship position in urology.
He will be giving two lectures at the meeting. The first on incorporating renal ultrasound into one’s clinical practice and the second on ambulatory clinic optimization in the post-Covid era. The scientific program also includes a variety of clinically oriented lectures from leading urologists throughout the state. Please see our website to access the meeting agenda.
We look forward to seeing you at Mount Hood in August!
